Well it has been a long time since I last posted on this. I now also have blogger.com so I have been horrible at posting on either one. This is due to stress from too much to do...work, school work for Walden, kids, and spending what little bit of time we can find to spend with Jerry.
Jerry got moved to Tues/Wed off days and then a few weeks later got moved to second shift (3pm-11pm) He has to leave at 1:30 though in time to arrive and do all he has to do before work even starts. It's been hard, but he's been great about trying to make it more manageable. For example, he has been coming over to my house every single week just about on either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon and spending the evening with us. One good thing is that he has been able to spend much more time with both kids and that's been a great thing.
Even though it has been hard in some ways, our relationship and our love for each other has continued to do nothing but GROW. Jerry is a wonderful man, the kind I prayed and wished for when I was a little girl. He makes me feel so special inside and out....who knew that he was out there, I just had to go through a lot before I met him.
Last week he bought "the ring"- yeah you know the all important one you wear on your left ring finger. He actually bought the one I found online and then went to Zales to try in person (it is unique and special) and honestly I can't wait to wear it everyday for the rest of my life to show everyone how proud I am to be his. He makes me feel like the queen of England (no lie) and being with him has always been easy and fun...though we've had a few disagreements, they are never for long and certainly have never been anything really major. How lucky am I to have a man who makes me happy with laughter every time I am near him...I am so blessed beyond anything I ever dreamed.
Anyway- onto Christmas which is upcoming. Since he is going to his parents for Christmas and I am staying here with my kids and my family- we had our own Christmas this past Saturday (December 19th) at his house. We had to get up early and get there about 9am so we would even have time -since as I mentioned above he has to leave at 1:30 for his second shift at Inman Yard. Anyway, we opened presents..the kids had a blast (pics on facebook and myspace) and then we ate a Koyoto's Jap Restaurant in Loganville and were lucky enough to have a very animated chef.
Ava got a pink girl glowworm she had been wishing for. Weldon got motorcycles that race, and I got more presents than I am sure I deserve. Jerry gave me this beautiful two hearts entwined together gold and silver ring with two heart stones on top (one white topaz and one red garnet) which I take to be a pure love that is on fire (my own words)....a fossil watch that has beautiful round cubic zirconium stones around the faceplate that is also gold and silver (and will match the ring I picked out one day)....pj pants, and a 50 dollar gift card to Carabbas...I am truly amazed that he got me such wonderful gifts that I truly love. I never want to take the ring or watch off..have to make myself.
I got Jerry at GPS TomTom so that he can better get around places...I got myself one for myself b/c I feel that everyone who is in ATL should have one! I also got him a log holder for the fire place and a very nice NIV study bible with burgundy leather with his name on it. I wrote something really special in it.Well I guess that's about it for now.
Next week for New Years Jerry has planned a trip to either Jekyll or St. Simons. My parents are watching the kids and I am so excited. We had so much fun on our trip to Gatlinburg together and it was just for one night. I just don't really even know how to convey how it feels to have a man make you feel like you are special and that you have worth beyond measure..I never knew that feeling until now.!
