A dear friend of mine, TJ, did a happiness blog for 2010 and I so enjoyed reading as she made her way through each of her 10 happiness commandments. I loved the way she shared her success as well as admit the things that didn't go as well as she hoped.
In that spirit, I plan to create my own 10 "happiness commandments.." 2010 has been an amazing year.....1/2 of it was wrought with frustration and trials as I had to finish out my contract at a job that was an hour and a half drive away from home. It was very stressful for me and for both kids, who also had to endure the drive.
Here are some of my ideas for some happiness commandments...
1) Really MAKE time to spend with each child
2) Exercise at least two days per week
3) Drink more water and less Diet Coke and Sweet Tea
4) Spend more time studying the Bible and praying to God
5) Find a good church and get plugged into a small group of women- make friends!!!
6) Learn to cook new things and cook more at home period
7) Clear out the Clutter- try to completely clean out the clutter in my house and garage one room at time
8) Reconnect with friends I've lost touch with from times gone by
9) Make it a point to spend more time with my family
10) Love on my husband as much as possible even though his night shift job makes spending time together hard.
Bonus- Blog at least three days a week???? ;-)
TJ- what do you think? Can some be simplified, changed, reworded??
Let me know your thoughts everyone...the commandments are a work in progress.
Blessings...

Great idea, Amber! I like your commandments!
I agree that my friend Rachel's blog really hits home. It certainly makes me realize how short this life is, and to help me focus my priorities in the right way.
Good luck this next year with your happiness project!
That is a wonderful idea,Amber. I look forward to reading your blog this year :)
Oh, by the way, I do take photos with my digital camera, then upload them to iPhoto, and then e-mail the ones I want to post to myself. Then, while viewing the photos in my e-mail, I right click on them and save them to my desktop. Then, in blogger, I can easily choose the photos I want, they're small in size and upload quickly, and they're easy to find. Not sure if that process would work for you, but it's the fastest way for me to get the photos the right size so they don't take so long to upload. Good luck!
Love,
TJ
