TGIF

Every Friday I am always thankful another Friday is here...working five days a week full time, being a mom, and trying to get a doctorate degree can take its toll on a girl...I am just exhausted most of the time.

I am excited about tomorrow. Mom and Dad are planning to go with us to a fall fesival in Winterville, Ga where my Aunt Polly is going to be taking her Mini Horses to the Nursing home for the old ladies and men to have fun petting.

I think my sister and her husband and little Levi will be there. It'll be nice to see everyone because even though we live close to each other, we don't really get to see each other that much because our lives are so crazy.

My parents are looking forward to retiring, my mom at the end of November and my Dad on the second of January...it'll be wierd when they don't work anymore b/c that's all I've ever known is both of them working and working hard...my mom got her doctorate when I was about 10 or 12....so I've always seen her work as hard as I work now to keep it going. My dad has always been a hard worker, and never one to lay out of work, so that'll be an adjustment for him I'm sure.

Anyway..today was a typical rainy Friday at work. I was stuck inside during recess duty with not one, but two third grade classes...b/c of the rain we couldn't go out....

I'm so lucky to work with a great bunch of really cool ladies in third grade. Amy and I are really good friends and it's been so cool this year to work with someone you really like and trust.

Well, tomorrow after the festival I get to go spend some time with my Jerry...we're going to go see Nights in Rodanthe and eat his beef stew..it'll be my first time eating his beef stew....but so far everything he has made has been good..he's a good cook...and best of all he puts up with "emotional girl" me...
