Getting Started Again ...Take 2

Friends...so back in July I claimed I was getting started again...nope...didn't work. You see, I started a new teaching job and the kids started a new school, and Weldon started fall baseball....and blogging just didn't happen.

However, last Friday, Fall baseball finally ended, and winter is approaching so I figure it's as good a time as any to start blogging again.

One thing that is fast approaching and has been on my mind is Christmas. I absolutely love the holidays- Thanksgiving and Christmas...yet get sad at the same time. Why you ask? Well..the holidays are just not the same when the grandparents (mine) pass away and the cousins (mine) grow up and start families of their own. I just really miss those holiday gatherings with my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!!!

Anyway- hubby has been bugging asking me about my Christmas list..so I thought I would jot a few things down as I am thinking of them...

- a Kindle- I LOVE to read....well when I have time which is mostly holidays and summers...but I think this would be ideal to be able to carry around ONE item with LOTS of books on it...still debating this one so let me know what you think!!!

-a NEW laptop- I use my husband's old one from 2005 every single day...and it's getting old...and freezes a lot! I use the laptop everyday to check email, facebook, blog, and do grades online for work...I really would like one of my very own that is all mine - I think my husband would like the same...but they cost alot!

- a bread maker---seems like the trend these days ...but ppl say they are wonderful....again...suggestions welcomed.

My kids on the other hand have been asking for various things such as dolls, doll houses, dress up clothes, make up, baseball bag on wheels, bounce back to practice throwing the ball, new games for the DSI and Wii....I am trying to find good sales and buy a little at a time.

Also- I have to think about all these gifts for teachers at school..that's so important but when you have two kids and they each have more than one teacher , plus the specials teachers..this can get expensive! Any ideas out there??
